Fort Scott High School senior Kelsey Simons recently signed a letter of intent to play softball at Fort Scott Community College beginning with the 2014 season. Simons, a pitcher, chose FSCC after considering five schools. She plays for Explosion II, a team based out of Paola, for coach Johnie Hill. Simons is the daughter of Larry Joe and Kim Simons and granddaughter of Billy Jean and Sheila Durossette and Cleland and Mary Allen.
