Nina Mary Terrill, age 84, a resident of Fort Scott, Kan., died early Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at the Fort Scott Manor. She was born Sept. 27, 1928, in Hiattville, Kan., the daughter of Frank Stevenson Rich and Eva Richardson Rich.

Nina married Jessie Junior Terrill on Sept. 10, 1965, in Fort Scott. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1987.

In her earlier years, Nina had worked for Campbell's Laundry. Fishing was one of her favorite activities. While at Fort Scott Manor, Nina enjoyed doing crafts, tending the flowers and playing bingo. She was also served as president of both the Fort Scott Manor Residents Council and the Fort Scott Manor Red Hat Mamas. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Tabernacle.

Survivors include her sister, Betty DoByns, of Garland, Kan., and a brother, James Rich, of Pittsburg, Kan. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Malcom and Adrian Rich and a sister, Helen Marie Douglas.

Rev. Paul Rooks will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at the Grace Baptist Tabernacle. Burial will follow in the U.S. National Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Cheney Witt Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Fort Scott Manor Activity Fund and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, P.O.
