Hazel worked as a nurse's aide in the OB Department at Mercy Hospital for 20 years. She was a member of the Bethel Community Church.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, George and Mildred Hall of Fort Scott, Kan.; one grandson, Donald Hall of Norwich, Kan.; one granddaughter, Dana Harris and Tim Ussery, of Pittsburg, Kan.; and seven great-grandchildren, Ashten Hall, Erin Hall, Gabe Harris, Chloe Harris, Abby Harris, Katie Ussery and Brooke Ussery. In addition to her husband, Donald, Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters.
Rev. Greg Stine will conduct funeral services for Hazel, at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Centerville Cemetery where Rev. Sid Alsbury will conduct the committal services. The family will receive friends on Monday beginning at 9:30 a.m. until service time.
