Dora Lee Reed, age 82, a former resident of Fort Scott, and more recently of Burlington, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at the Life Care Nursing Home in Burlington. She was born March 3, 1930, in Barton County, Mo., the daughter of John Harbison and Pearl Jessip Harbison. Dora married William Lester Reed on September 15, 1947, at Girard. He preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 2010.

Survivors include a son, Michael Allen Reed, of Gridley, Kansas; a granddaughter, Lisa Ann Heape; and four great-grandchildren, Dakota Heape, Chase Heape, Katelynn Heape and Colter Rogers. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son Gary Wayne Reed; two brothers, Richard and Melvin Harbison; a half-brother, Charles Harbison and a half-sister, Violet Yetzbacher.

Rev. Jared Witt will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m Friday, Jan. 11, at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Burial will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery.
