St. Paul takes two from Eagles in league play

ST. PAUL -- St. Paul's basketball teams claimed both ends of a Three Rivers League basketball doubleheader here Tuesday night. The Indian girls took a 66-39 win while St. Paul's boys came away with a 71-51 victory.

Tuck and Phillips scored 13 points each for St. Paul (1-0 TRL, 4-1 overall) while Albertini added 11.

Amelia Brown led Uniontown (0-1, 2-3) with 9 points. Lakyn Coyan added 8 points. Hayden Rathbun hauled down 10 rebounds.

St. Paul led 11-10 after one period but outscored Uniontown 24-10 in the second.

No further information was received from the boys' game. Uniontown fell to 0-1 in the league, 1-4 overall while St. Paul improved to 1-0, 4-1.

Both Uniontown squads play at Pleasanton in a non-league twinbill Friday night.
