He was born March 4, 1951 in Springfield, Mo., the son of the late Herbert L. and Helen F. (Martin) Thimesch. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Robert Holloman in 2003.
Martin was a locomotive engineer for 39 years with the BNSF Railroad. He was a former member of Henderson Masonic Lodge and Abou Ben Adhem Shrine Temple. He enjoyed riding his Harley's and breakfast every Wednesday with the BLE Gang. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
He is survived by two sons, Jacob Thimesch, Springfield; and Joel Comeau and his wife Dawn, Republic; a daughter, Mardee Thimesch, Springfield; two granddaughters, Helen and Dessalynn, three grandsons, Christian, Blayne and Keytan; a brother, Nick Thimesch and his wife Dianna, Rogersville; a sister, Judy Thimesch, Columbia; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday Dec. 5, 2012, at J.D. Lee and Sons Funeral Home, Rogersville. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery, Springfield.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, in the funeral home.
