Roberto G. Bourbon

Roberto G. Bourbon, age 61, a resident of Fort Scott, died early Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at his home. He was born Jan. 26, 1951, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, the son of Luis G. Bourbon and Maria Mercedes Feliciano Bourbon. He married Carmen Aran on December 16, 1978. The family moved from Puerto Rico to Alaska in the early 1980s where Roberto worked as an instrument and control technician for the Alaska Pipeline. They later moved to Lincoln, Neb., and then to Fort Scott in 2007.

Survivors include his wife, Carmen, of the home; two sons, Roberto G. Bourbon Jr. and wife, Amy of Kansas City, Kan. and Eleazar G. Bourbon, of Fort Scott, and a grandson, Isaiah G. Bourbon. Also surviving is a brother, Luis Jesus Bourbon, of Arecibo, Puerto Rico. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Isaac G. Bourbon.

There was cremation. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Burial will take place at a later date in Puerto Rico.
