FSCC to host the annual alumni rodeo

Fort Scott Community College will host the annual Dan VandeWynkel Alumni Rodeo at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Arnold Arena.

Bareback riding, barrel racing, breakaway, bull riding, calf roping, goat tying, saddle bronc, steer wrestling and team roping will be featured.

Gate charges for adults will be $5; children 12 and under, $2; FSCC students with IDs will pay $3; and a family pass (two adults and two children) is $10.

New this year will be a rodeo athlete auction at 6 p.m. Saturday.

Rodeo student-athletes will be auctioned off to provide five hours of labor to raise funds for the rodeo program.

Students who can provide special skilled labor will be identified during the auction.
