COLONY -- Uniontown's varsity volleyball squad wrapped up Three Rivers Play here Tuesday night with two-set sweeps of Pleasanton and Crest.
The Eagles are currently in a three-way tie for first place in the league with Oswego and Jayhawk-Linn. That could change as both schools have league matches left to play.
The Eagles (8-1 TRL, 18-5 overall) started out with a 25-14, 25-5 sweep of Pleasanton. At one point in the second set, Mandie Ridge served 21 consecutive points of which 15 were aces.
"Mandie had a tremendous night of serving, something which she has been working on," Uniontown head coach Jackie Hall said. "She has stayed after practice many nights to work on her serve and it certainly paid off."
Hayden Rathbun was 10 of 10 in attack and picked up 7 kills. Brit Stokes recorded 12 assists.
Ridge also had runs of serves in Uniontown's 25-7, 25-5 sweep of Crest. She served 13 in a row in the first set, 6 of which were aces. She also served 10 straight times, with 2 aces, in the second set.
Rathbun and Hannah Travis were each credited with 6 kills. Stokes dished out 14 assists.
