Founded in 1984, the Streeter Family Association is an international not-for-profit organization for anyone who descends from any Streeter family. The association is in the process of compiling and publishing genealogies on all Streeter immigrants to America, their English ancestors and all of their known descendants.

For more information, follow the links at www.perry.streeter.com.

In conjunction with the association's 28th annual board of directors meeting, the Streeter Family Association will provide a free genealogical consultation to anyone with any Streeter ancestry at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Courtland Hotel, 121 E. First St., Fort Scott. Reservations are required for the limited number of seats available, so contact Perry Streeter at perry@streeter.com or (877) 429-0539 as soon as possible, a news release said.

The association's genealogists and database administrators may be able link your earliest known Streeter ancestor back to his or her immigrant ancestor on the spot. Suggestions for further research and potential follow-up research assistance may also be provided as necessary. The association is also interested in acquiring more information on any and all Streeter descendants, so any contributions to the archives, in any format, will be welcomed.
