President Drew George called the Sept. 12 monthly meeting of the Uniontown 4-H Club to order at 7 p.m.
Secretary Amber Bartlett called the roll with seven members stating their favorite summer memory. Cassidy Fuhrman led the group in the 4-H pledge and Danielle Nading led the flag salute.
Visitor Cassidy Fuhrman was introduced to the group. Secretary Amber Bartlett read the minutes of the August meeting; they were approved as read.
Drew George gave the council report and announced that officer training will be held Oct. 7 at 3 p.m. at Erie High School.
There was no old business to discuss.
In new business, the group decided to set up a committee to decorate a window for the achievement banquet.
In observance of National 4-H Week, the club will attend church at First Missionary Baptist Church Sunday, Oct. 14, and then to the Uniontown City Park for a 1 p.m. cookout.
Robyn Martin gave a health and safety talk on what to have in an emergency preparedness kit.
Drew George gave a talk on disqualifications that a judge looks for when judging a rabbit show. Drew won the year-end drawing for a movie card for presenting a talk during this 4-H year.
Officers were nominated for next year and approved as follows: President Chase Gleason; Vice President Amber Bartlett; Secretary Holly Shinn; Treasurer Danielle Nading; Council Representatives Robyn Martin and Nikki Bolinger; Reporter Nikki Bolinger; Historian Madelynn Ard; Parliamentarian Torrie Hathaway; Recreation Rhian Gorman and Dawson Bolinger; Song Leader Rhian Gorman.
Recreation Leaders Robyn Martin and Madelynn Ard led the group in a relay race. Rhian Gorman led the group in the song "Home on the Range." The George and Gleason families provided refreshments.
