FREDONIA, Kan. -- Uniontown's golf team finished fifth in a field that included golfers from a few larger schools here Thursday in the Fredonia Invitational.
Caney Valley won the team title by one stroke over Chanute, 190-191. Uniontown finished at 235.
Torrie Hathaway was the Eagles' best finisher with a nine-hole score of 56, tying for 16th place. Haven Bradbury tied for 20th with her score of 57. Monica Ramsey finished with a 60, Jordan Mason 62, Anna Oberle 64 and Stephanie Robertson at 92.
Coffeyville's Anna Pool, currently the individual leader in the Southeast Kansas League, finished with a 38 to win the individual crown. Caney Valley's Tiffani Ward was second with a 41 and Fredonia's Lindsey Oneal with third at 43.
The Eagles host their varsity invitational Monday at Fort Scott's Woodland Hills Golf Course.
