PITTSBURG -- Fort Scott High School's soccer team continues on its best pace in school history, shutting out Pittsburg 4-0 on its new home field in Southeast Kansas League play here Tuesday.

Tyler Endicott scored two goals for the league-leading Tigers, who are 3-0 in the league and 5-2 overall. Both of those are best-ever marks for this point of the season.

Chase Howser added a goal and Andrew Rogers also scored for the Tigers. Brett Allen was the winning goalkeeper, posing his second shutout in three games.

"We didn't forget them putting varsity guys on the field to run up the score on our JV a couple of weeks ago," Tiger Head Coach Kevin Gray said. "It was definitely in the back of our minds.

"Brett Allen played an awesome game. He kept us in the game early with some huge saves."

Pittsburg fell to 1-2 in the SEK and 1-3 overall. This was the Tigers' sixth consecutive win over the Purple Dragons.

Fort Scott has won five straight games since beginning the season 0-2. Allen has allowed just three goals during that streak.
