Uniontown volleyball sweeps

ST. PAUL -- Uniontown's volleyball team swept through a Three Rivers League triangular here Tuesday night, beating St. Paul, 25-17, 25-13, and Northeast, 25-13, 25-7.

Hayden Rathbun was a perfect 12 of 12 in attack changes and picked up 9 kills versus St. Paul. Brit Stokes handed out 11 assists.

Abby Dixon and Hayden Rathbun had 4 kills each against Northeast. Amber Bartlett recorded 7 assists.

"This was a good outing for us," Uniontown Head Coach Jackie Hall said of her Eagles (3-1 TRL, 8-3 overall). "We didn't exactly play our best volleyball but did find a way to get the job done."

Uniontown's JV also won both matches. The Eagles beat St. Paul, 25-17, 9-25, 15-13, as Ambar Abrego had 6 kills. Abrego had 5 more kills in a 25-9, 25-7 sweep of Northeast.

Uniontown's varsity will play in the Cherryvale Tournament Saturday.
