Landan Mark Bland, 3, received his angel wings Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, after a brave battle with brain cancer. He passed away in his home surrounded by close friends and family. His smile brightened every room he entered and his strength inspired everyone who knew him. He is survived by his parents and his sister, Ellie, all of Springfield, Mo.; maternal grandmothers, Judy Havens of Springfield, Mo., and Beverly (Yarbough) Havens of Springfield, Mo.; paternal grandparents, Gaylen and Jane Bland of Willard, Mo., Judy Bland of Springfield, Mo., and Ralph and Nancy Ragan of Peculiar, Mo.; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 1, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with the Rev. Troy Hartman officiating. Burial will follow at Bass Chapel Cemetery in Greene County, Mo. Visitation was held Friday, Aug. 31, from 5 to 8 p.m., in the funeral home.
