Fort Scott Community College and Fort Scott Broadcasting have reached an agreement where the college will purchase airtime on KOMB-FM (103.9) to retransmit KSEK-FM's coverage of Greyhound football.
The coverage begins Saturday with coverage of the home game against Tyler, Texas. Pre-game show is at 12 noon with game coverage to follow at 1 p.m.
FSCC reached a broadcasting agreement with KSEK prior to the 2010 season where the station provides coverage of all football games and select basketball, baseball and softball games. However, there have been issues with the clarity of KSEK's signal on 99.1 FM inside Fort Scott city limits.
In the absence of FSCC football, Fort Scott Broadcasting picked up Kansas State athletics for KMDO-AM (1600) while continuing to broadcast University of Kansas games on KOMB.
All remaning Greyhound football games with the exception of the Oct. 6 game at Independence will be carried on KOMB. Oct. 6 is also the day Kansas faces Kansas State, with each team's broadcast set for their respective Fort Scott station.
