NORMAND

Marcel and Helen Normand, Arma, Kan., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 23, 2012, with a Mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Arma where they also renewed their vows.

An anniversary dinner and dance followed the service at St. Mary's Activity Center in Pittsburg, Kan., and was hosted by their children.

They have three children and 13 grandchildren. Tim Normand and wife Lisa and their four sons live in Pittsburg. Tyler Normand and wife Caryn and their four children are in Frontenac, Kan. Teresa Lobb and her husband Chris and their five children live in Lenexa, Kan.

Marcel and Helen are both retired teachers. Marcel taught many years in social sciences at Fort Scott Community College, while Helen taught Title I Reading at Arma Elementary School.
