Phyllis Darlene "Phil" Riley, 72, resident of rural Fort Scott, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at her home.

She was born April 7, 1940, in Mulberry, Kan., the daughter of Vernie Totman and Ethel Pearl Scratcher Totman. She married Richard Riley on Aug. 31, 1957, at Miami, Okla. She had been employed by Ennis Printing for 30 years. Phyllis was a member of the Fort Scott Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include her husband, Richard, of the home; her four children, Belinda Yockey, Joplin, Mo., Christine Bosley and husband, Gary, Fort Scott, Nathan Riley, Newark, Ohio, and Carol Johnson and husband, Michael, Lawrence, Kan.; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren with two more on the way and two great-great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters, Margaret Durbin and Alberta Steeley, both of Fort Scott and a lifelong friend, Linda Hurd.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Eldon "Pete" Totman.

The Rev. Scott Moore will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012, at the Fort Scott Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Cheney Witt Chapel.
