Larry, Loreta
Larry and Loreta (Wood) Jent, Bloomington, Ill., formerly of Fort Scott, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house from 2-4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at the home of the honorees. Hosts of this special occasion will be their children.

Larry Jent and Loreta Wood were married June 16, 1962, at First Baptist Church in Fort Scott, with the reception at the Hammond United Methodist Church.

The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Kenneth Wood, with special music by Byrne Wood, Loreta Jent's brother.

Nancy (Benedict, Niemeir) Lindell and Bob Morford were their attendants, with Ruth Ann (Jent) Konantz and Donna (Jent) Spencer as candle lighters.

All will participate in a renewing of vows ceremony for family and close friends on the evening of June 16, following a backyard dinner.

Larry and Loreta are parents of Shane (Sonya) Jent, Bloomington, Ill., and Kecia (Charles) Johnson, Fort Worth, Texas.

Larry is a retired executive from State Farm Insurance of Bloomington. Loreta is a former substitute teacher, homemaker and president of the Bloomington/Normal Woman's Christian Temperance Union.

The family requests no gifts. The Jents reside at 14297 Twin Grove Rd., Bloomington, Ill., 61705.
