Engagement

Greg and Missy Scott, Hepler, announce the engagement of their daughter, Erica Scott, to Stetson Kern, son of Shane and Kristie Kern, Pleasanton, and Jay and Kim Martin, Lacygne.

The bride is a 2012 graduate of Pittsburg State University and has a bachelor's degree in business administration.

The bride is employed as the Finance and Operations Associate at the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas.

The groom is a 2009 Pleasanton High School graduate. He is employed as a welder-fabricator at AZZ-Atkinson, Pittsburg.

Grandparents of the bride are Donna Harris, Hepler and the late C.W. Harris; Pat and Don Stark, Nevada, and the late Bill Scott. Grandparents of the groom are Alvin and Wanda Kern, Paola; Roger and Phyllis Benedict, Paola; Paul and Mary Martin, Pleasanton; Merlin Gunnels, Drexel, Mo., and Donna Gunnels, Belton, Mo.

The wedding will be on June 9, 2012, at 5:30 p.m. at Pittsburg Presbyterian Church.
