John Kemper "J.K." Graham, 96, of Fort Scott died Thursday, May 10, 2012, at the Medicalodges Nursing Home.
He was born April 12, 1916, in Fort Scott, Kan., the son of John William and Mary Lucy (Kemper) Graham.
He married Juanita M. Cummings Dec. 25, 1935. She preceded him in death in 1968. He married Loretta M. Karleskint in Fort Scott in 1977 and she survives of the home.
In addition to his wife Loretta, J.K. is survived by three daughters, Phyllis M. Cauley of Hutchison, Kan., Nita K. Fears of Denver, Colo., and JoHanna M. Newberry of Olathe, Kan.; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents, his first wife, Juanita, and a daughter, Mary Martha Graham.
J.K.'s wishes were for his body to be donated to KU Medical Center for scientificstudy.
Memorial services will be held at a later date and his remains will be buried at the Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Scott. Services are under the direction of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall St., P.O. Box 309, Fort Scott, Kan., 66701
