Robert Alvin "Bob" Gray, 79, was born Oct. 26, 1932, in Fort Scott, Kan., the son of Alvin B and Bertha Opal (Graves) Gray.
He passed away April 24, 2012, at his home in Yukon.
In 1965, Bob and his family moved to Yukon from Wichita, Kan. He was a flight engineer and flight line mechanic with the United States Air Force during the Korean War era. He worked for Gulfstream in almost every department, retiring from the company after 32 years of service. As a result, Bob spent his entire adult life in aviation.
He also loved hunting. He was a member of First Christian Church of Yukon.
Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Diane; son, Steven Gray; grandchildren, Cortney and Blaine Gray; sister, Opal Binford; sister, Jeanette Schweikert and husband Bob; brother, Jerry Gray and wife Kathy, all of Fort Scott; and brother, Louis Gray and wife Judy of St. Augustine, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister and son, Gary Robert Gray.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 30, 2012, at Yukon Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Bob's name to the First Christian Church of Yukon.
