PITTSBURG -- Fort Scott High School senior Tyler Adams scored 21 points here Sunday to lead the KSEK/KODE team to a 91-82 victory over the KLKC/KSN squad in the Sixth Annual KSEK/KLKC Via Christi All-Star Game at St. Mary's-Colgan Fieldhouse.
Uniontown senior Hope Jurgensen scored 6 points for KSEK/KODE, which lost to KLKC/KSN, 76-74, in the girls' contest.
Adams made 9 of 17 field-goal attempts, including three 3-pointers, according to statistics provided by KSEK-FM. Pittsburg's Jalen King led KSEK/KODE with 20 points.
Uniontown's Zach Travis played for KLKC/KSN but was unable to score, going 0 for 8 from the field.
Coffeyville's Josh Mitchell won the 3-point shooting contest, making 12 of 20 shots. Pittsburg's Dillon O'Dell won the slam dunk contest with a jam while jumping over a KODE cameraman.
Jurgensen's team almost completed a rally from a big deficit in the final four minutes of the girls' game as KSEK/KODE scored the game's last 14 points. All-star teammate Tiara Ford of Labette County led all scorers with 20 points. Christine Bone of Southeast led the winning KLKC/KSN squad with 13 points while Girard's Jordan Davied added 12 points.
Labette County's Kiralyn Mosier won the girls' 3-point contest, making 9 of 20 shots.
