Ivadean Severy, 71, a resident of rural Fort Scott, Kan., died Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at Fort Scott.

She was born May 31, 1940, in Fort Scott, the daughter of Cecil John Feagins, Sr., and Dorothy Irene Bolden Feagins.

She married Earl Severy on April 15, 1958, at Miami, Okla.

Ivadean had worked for many years as bookkeeper for Severy Tire. She was an ordained priest with the Community of Christ Church and was active with the women's department. She enjoyed writing poems.

Survivors include her husband, Earl, of the home; a son, Bert Severy, Fort Scott and a daughter, Sheila Seaver and husband Bill, of Kansas City, Kan.; three grandchildren, Kris Seaver, Brian Seaver and wife Julie and Melissa Dawn Engbroten and husband Justin; and four great-grandchildren, Hailey, Tristan, Alora and Alayna.

Also surviving are a brother, C.J. Feagins of Fort Scott, and four sisters, Jean Wheeler, Patty Thompson, Kay Fleming and Carol Cassett, all of Fort Scott.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

High Priest Bob Casino assisted by Elder Robert Clark will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Burial will follow in the Centerville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Cheney Witt Chapel.
