Ethel Josephine "Jo" Knopp, 82, of Fort Scott, died early Tuesday morning, Feb. 14, 2012, at Fort Scott Manor. She was born June 6, 1929, in Hepler, Kan., the daughter of David Richard and Ethel Gertrude (Hardin) Huber.

She married Willis Henry Knopp June 24, 1949, in Hepler, and he survives of the home.

Jo is survived by her children, Colleen Murrin and Art, Jim Knopp and Diana, Leesa Stephan and Dennis and Jeff Knopp and Pam, all of Fort Scott; two sisters, Jean Armstrong of Fort Scott and Dorothy Hanson of Girard, Kan.; nine grandchildren, Mike Knopp and Melodee, Cole Murrin, Natalie Murrin, Amanda Lancaster and Brian, Dru Stephan and Jessica, Zach Stephan, Dillon Knopp, Griffin Knopp and Mason Knopp; and six great-grandchildren, Ilyanna Knopp, Madelyn Knopp, Gannon Knopp, Emily Lancaster, Tessa Lancaster and Wesley Lancaster.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kenny Huber.

Pastor Stephen Sweyko will conduct funeral services 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at Trinity Lutheran Church with burial following at Evergreen Cemetery.
