Raymond Dale Smutley Howard, 74, LaCygne, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2012, in Pleasanton, Kan.
He was born May 22, 1937 in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Orville and Florence Morris Howard. He worked for Johnson County Wastewater and operated a tree trimming service.
He was a Christian, was the founding member of FORR, Freedom of Road Riders, and loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He is survived by his daughters, April Winters, Mayme Miller and Larry; a son, Steve Clark and Sam; a niece, Carol Nichols and Jimmy; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at the Schneider Funeral Home, LaCygne Chapel.
Cremation will follow visitation. A memorial celebration of Mr. Smutley's life will be held later this summer.
