Wilma Faye Endy, age 81, a resident of Fort Scott, died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at the Via Christi Health Center in Pittsburg. She was born Dec. 17, 1930, in Springfield, Mo., the daughter of Paul Jones and Cora Shoup Jones. Wilma first married Dwayne Cundiff in 1950.

He preceded her in death in 1975. She later married Donald C. Endy on Nov. 3, 1977.

In addition to being a homemaker, Wilma had also worked as a nurse's aide. Wilma and Don moved from Duncan, Okla., to Fort Scott in 2000. She was a life member of the V. F. W. and American Legion auxiliaries. She was also a member of the Gideon's Auxiliary and FCE. She enjoyed crocheting, arts and crafts and gardening. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Don, of the home; two step-sons, Clayton Endy and Wallace Endy, both of Mars Hill, Maine; two step-daughters, Mary Lawrence, also of Mars Hill, Maine, and Cookie Bohn, Aubrey, Texas; six step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Anna Long, Copan, Okla., and Martha Clark, Fort Scott, Kan. She was preceded in death by a step-son, Jerry Bassham two brothers, Victor "J.T." Jones and Arthur Jones, and two sisters Cora Hampton and Lily Fry.

Pastor Steven Porter will conduct graveside services at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at the U.S. National Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the First Southern Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, P.O.
