Dorothy Christine Fry, 55, of Fort Scott passed away Wednesday morning, Jan. 18, 2012, at Mercy Health Center, Fort Scott, Kan.
She was born Aug. 26, 1955, in Albuquerque, N.M., the daughter of Elgie and Wilma Christine (Gardner) Sprague.
Dorothy graduated from Girard High School in 1973. She married Bill Fry Sr. July 31, 1983, in Walnut, Kan. He survives of the home.
Dorothy worked as a CNA for several years.
In addition to her husband Bill, Dorothy is survived by her children; Amanda Black, Fort Scott, and Bill Fry Jr., also of Fort Scott; a sister, Dee Redmon, Fort Scott; three brothers, Elgie Sprague (Sonny), Edward Sprague, Chanute, Donny Sprague and Byron Sprague, both of Alamogordo, N.M.; two grandsons, Drew Black, Fort Scott, and Dustin Fry, Fort Scott; and a granddaughter, Keyairah Lane of Fredonia, Kan.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Sharon Webb and Karen Totman, a niece, Kim Webb, and a great niece, Hannah Webb.
Following cremation, the family will hold private memorial services at a later date.
