Shirley was born June 10, 1938, in Fort Scott, Kan., to Dixie J. Pierce and Edna C. Wolfe Pierce. She was a resident of Groves for 22 years and member of First Baptist Church of Port Neches. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Kansas. Shirley retired after 44 years of service in home health as a registered nurse.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Janelle Tatum.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Brack of Groves; step-daughter Vina Buse and husband Tom of Wimberly, Texas; two sisters, Charlotte "Suzy" Truitt of Phoenix, Ariz. and Marilyn Hurt of Chanute, Kan.; three grandchildren, Krystal Tatum, Bryce Tatum and Trey Tatum; son-in-law Robert Lee Tatum Jr.; and sister-in-law Donnie Colburn.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 21, at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
