She was born April 15, 1921, in Worland, Mo., the daughter of James Riley and Arvilla Guss Riley.
She married Francis "Bud" Ford on Oct. 30, 1939, in Lamar, Mo. He preceded her in death Aug. 28, 1970.
Maxine has lived at her farm location since 1946. She attended the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Garland. She was a past member of the Glenwood Club in Garland and the Iza Stompers Dance group.
Survivors include her son, Stanley Eugene Ford and wife Norma, Moundville, Mo.; one brother, Marvin Riley, Independence, Mo., and a sister, Donna Cain, Gardner, Kan.
Also surviving are three granddaughters, Antonette Bunch, Amy Ford-Searles and Amanda Pollock and husband Jeff; and six great-grandchildren, Courtney Bunch, Caitlyn Bunch, Celia Ryleigh Bunch, Tristyn Searles, Avry Searles and Ayden Pollock.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, James DeLoss Ford, and daughter-in-law Karen Ford, four brothers, Eugene Riley, Burton Riley, Jack Riley and infant Raymond Riley; four sisters, Norma Minor, Edith Totman, Reba Lee and Devona Carnes.
Pastor Rick Womack will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Cheney Witt Chapel. Burial will follow in U.S. National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
