EARL WALKER JR.

Earl Walker Jr., 89, of Pittsburg, Kan., passed away Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg.

Earl was born Oct. 10, 1922, in Mound City, Kan., the son of Earl and Daisy Tyhurst Walker.

He worked for Thompson Walters Construction Company in Kansas City. He was a member of The Church of God in Mindenmines, Mo.

Survivors include a son, Doug Walker; one sister, Mary Stutes of Pleasanton, Kan., two brothers, Delbert Walker of Shawnee, Kan., and John L. Walker of Fort Scott, Kan., and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two wives.

Graveside memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Frontenac City Cemetery with Reverend Gary Carter officiating.
