Marie Catherine Mosher, 95, Nevada, passed away following an illness of several months Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, at Christian Health Care in Nevada. She was born Nov. 12, 1916, in Schell City, Mo., to Arthur Allen Hillier and Clara Elizabeth Fastabend. Marie was married March 20, 1938, in Schell City, Mo., to Roy F. Mosher and he preceded her in death in 1989.
Mrs. Mosher was born in Schell City and graduated from Schell City High School in 1934. She and her husband, Roy, started Mosher's Laundry in Nevada in 1961. She was a member of the First Christian Church and taught Sunday school most all her life in the Schell City, Walker and Nevada area. She was an avid floral gardener.
Survivors include two sons, Dwain Mosher and his wife, Karen, Nevada, and Danny Mosher and his wife Stephanie, Schell City, Mo.; one daughter, Wanda Ann Huggins, Springfield, Mo.; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one half-sister, Delpha Simmons, Schell City, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; three brothers; and one grandson, David Mosher.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 26, at Newton Burial Park in Nevada, with her nephew, the Rev. Terry Mosher, officiating.
