Kenneth Harold "Kenny" Koester, 56, of Fort Scott, Kan., died Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Mo.
He was born Feb. 2, 1955, in Fort Scott, Kan., the son of Harold Dean and Ruth Ella (Hoover) Koester.
Kenny worked for Tri-Valley Developmental Services as a behavior support specialist and attended Trinity Lutheran Church.
He also was a mortician for several years, having worked for both funeral homes in Fort Scott at different times.
Survivors include his parents, Harold and Ruth of Fort Scott; two sons, Chase Koester of Altamont, Kan., and Bryce Koester of Oswego, Kan.; two sisters, Kara Koester of Germantown, Tenn., and Kristyn Wohler of Shawnee, Kan., and a niece, Roslyn Wohler.
Pastor Steven Sweyko will conduct funeral services 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, with burial following at the Evergreen Cemetery.
