Tiger volleyball struggles at Anderson County

GARNETT -- Fort Scott High School volleyball struggled here Saturday, managing just one win in four matches at the Anderson County Invitational.

The Tigers' only victory came over Iola, 25-12, 25-21. Mallory Shelton had 8 kills and Taylor Grant had 7. Kenzie Heatherly dished 9 assists.

Fort Scott (16-18) lost to Anderson County 19-25, 25-13, 25-20. Shelton had 23 kills. Heatherly dished 19 assists and Maddi Allen handed out 10.

The Tigers lost to Labette County, 16-25, 25-19, 25-22. Shelton had 18 kills. Heatherly handed out 14 assists while Allen dealt 8.

Fort Scott lost to Prairie View, 26-24, 25-21. Shelton and Grant had 7 kills each.

The Tigers return here Saturday for the Anderson County Class 4A Sub-State Tournament.
