PEGGY G. PARKER

Peggy G. Parker 75, of Fort Scott, Kan., died at 2:10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, at Heritage Nursing Home in Girard, Kan., following an illness. Peggy was born at home on Aug. 8, 1936, in Decatur, Neb., the daughter of Don Gerald Abbott and Alice Gertrude Mitchell.

Those left to remember her gracious and giving life are her husband Stephen L. Parker of the home; children Debra L. Reynolds-Eskie and husband Dennis, Dirk D. Reynolds and wife Laura, Darla Urbantas and husband Richard; grandchildren Leah N. Eskie-Percival, Erin R. Eskie-Merril, Dustin J. Eskie, Levi Reynolds, Anna Schlosser, Justin Urbantas; great-grandchildren Chyler A. and Chandi L. Percival, Evangeline Merrill, Logan and Chloe Schlosser; brother Dallas Abbott and his daughter Michelle; and many dear cousins.

Private graveside services will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorials to the Disabled American Veterans.
