Susan worked as a dental assistant and receptionist for over 33 years. She was a loving mother and sister. She loved camping and horseback riding. Susan was a campfire enthusiast "pyro." She enjoyed motorcycle rides with her friend, Monte, and will be greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Bruce Dixon, and a brother-in-law, Chuck Cross.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Elizabeth (Ramsey) Dixon of Fort Scott, Kan.; two children, Jacob C. Anderson and Jessica J. Anderson, both of Springfield; a brother, Richard Bruce Dixon II and his wife Susie of Springfield; a sister, Frances M. Cross of Edgerton, Kan.; and a loving friend, Monte Von Stroh, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, Springfield, Mo., with Chaplain Mark Chamberlin officiating.
Burial will be held in the Greenlawn Memorial Garden.
Visitation will be held in the funeral home from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., one hour before the service on Saturday.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home East, Springfield, Mo.
