Skills contest kicks tourney off Thursday

Fort Scott will host the Kansas Cal Ripken Baseball 9-year-old State Tournament at Don Hewett Field this weekend. Activities will begin Thursday evening with a picnic for the players at 6 p.m. at Fisher Park before moving on the field for a skills contest.
