Little Balkans Days Festival seeking arts and crafts vendors

Tuesday, July 19, 2011

The Little Balkans Festival Association is accepting applications for the 2011 Little Balkans Arts and Crafts booths during Little Balkans Days on Saturday, Sept. 3, in Pittsburg. The 2011 event will mark the 27th anniversary of the Little Balkans Days Festival, according to a release from the Little Balkans Festival Association.

The Arts and Crafts Festival will be on Saturday only and will be divided into sections, Artisan and Handmade Crafts, Non-handmade items and Kids Zone. Non-profit organizations, church groups, and home party businesses are also invited to join Little Balkans, the release said.

The festival will be in downtown Pittsburg, between Fourth Street and Broadway south to Euclid Street, including the atmosphere provided by the Pritchett Pavilion, Immigrant Park and the Miner's Memorial. This will also provide vendors with a more concentrated traffic area. Vendor parking will be provided near the arts and crafts area.

There will be two booth sizes; 15x10 feet for $40 and 30x10 feet for $75. Non-for-profit booths are $20 for a 15x10-foot space.

Each booth will have an assigned space. Booth spaces will be assigned on a first come, first served basis as applications and fees are received. Application deadline is Aug. 11. For more information, visit www.littlebalkans.com or email mintonad@yahoo.com.
