Merna Sue Wisner, 77, resident of Indiana, Penn., died Monday, July 4, 2011, at the Conemaugh Valley Hospital in Johnstown, Penn.
She was born Aug. 6, 1933, in Paint, Penn., the daughter of Arthur Sanford Ream and Albert Emma Wiand Ream. Mrs. Wisner worked as a nurse's aide in many nursing homes and attended the Penn Run Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed taking her family to church and Sunday school and was also an avid reader.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Henry Earl Wisner; five children; Henry Earl Wisner Jr. of Williamsport, Penn., David Wayne Wisner of Ottawa, Kan.; Timothy Warren Wisner of Red Line, Penn., John Kevin Wisner of Chanute, Kan., and Sally Ruth Jones of Fort Scott.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; three brothers, William Henry Ream, Detroit, Mich., John Delano Ream of Elton, Penn., Eugene Ray Ream, Johnstown, Penn.; and three sisters, Ida Pearl Gearhart, Elton, Penn., Jane Elizabeth Bicknell, Indiana, Penn. and Sally Lou Hampton, Homer City, Penn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Paul Wisner; two brothers, Clarence and Frank Ream, and one sister, Naomi Ruth Gochnour.
Pastor Scott Dickenson will conduct graveside services at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 12, in the U.S. National Cemetery, Fort Scott, Kan.
Friends may meet at the Cheney Witt Chapel prior to leaving for the cemetery at 9:45 a.m.
Services are under the direction of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main.
