Modern Woodmen Chapter 514 to host July fundraiser for Christmas Basket program

Tuesday, June 28, 2011

Members of the Fort Scott Modern Woodmen of America Chapter 514 will sponsor a fundraiser on July 16 to benefit the Fort Scott Christmaas Basket program.

Coordinated by local Modern Woodmen members, chapters provide opportunities to connect through social activities and volunteer projects.

The fundraiser, "Cheeseburgers in Paradise," will be held at the home of Byron and Nancy Maze. Money raised will be matched by Modern Woodmen's home office up to $1,000 through the fraternal benefit society's Matching Fund Program and will be used for the Christmas Basket program.

The Matching Fund program offers Modern Woodmen members nationwide the chance to show their support for a community cause, organization or individual in need by holding fundraisers. These fundraising projects contribute more than $6.5 million to community needs nationwide each year.
