To the Editor:

I happened to read the Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 Pittsburg Morning Sun newspaper and they had an article entitled "How they Voted" listing the Kansas House of Representatives names, party affiliation and how those representatives voted on the Secure and Fair Election Act. Also reported were those who did not vote on the bill. A short explanation of the bill was included. It was not lengthy, just the facts. I found this article to be very informative and urge the Tribune to also report these voting records. We citizens, voters and taxpayers need to see who and how our elected officials vote on the many issues that affect our families and communities. I am sure the voters of Vernon County, Mo., would also appreciate this report on what is being decided in Jefferson City. These reports would benefit many people. I've heard it said "you can go online to get that information," but not all people have access, desire or time to be on the computer. That is why they subscribe to the paper.

The times of just reporting the "score" of a bill are over. I want to see the "players' names" so I can determine who to hold accountable, not just at election time.
