Vivian Louise Lancaster, 83, of Fort Scott, died at her home, Monday morning, March 7, 2011.

She was born Oct. 19, 1927 in Coyle, Okla., the daughter of Albert and Myrtle Bell (Meininger) Towle.

She married Cecil Lancaster July 2, 1950 in Fort Scott.

He preceded her in death Dec. 5, 1978.

Survivors include two sons Tom Lancaster and wife Kay, Don Lancaster and wife Gwen, of Fort Scott; three daughters, Debbie Baxley, of Fort Scott; Carolyn Washburn and husband Gary of Mustang, Okla.; and Marsha Lancaster, of Fort Scott; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one sister, Ruth Spencer, of Hume, Mo.

In addition to her husband, Cecil, Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Myrtle, and a brother Irvin Towle.

Rev. Chuck Russell will conduct funeral services for Vivian Lancaster at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, with burial to follow at The Memory Gardens of Bourbon County Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 11, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.
