RICHARD SCOTT HOCKETT

Richard Scott Hockett, 81, Hutchinson, died March 6, 2011 at the Mennonite Friendship Manor in South Hutchinson.

He was born in Bronson, Kan., to Ray and Jessie Hockett.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the military police.

He married Grace Miller on June 4, 1951, she survives.

He was retired from Ray Shepherd Motors, Fort Scott.

He is survived by his three children, Victor, Sandra and Joy; two grandchildren Nickolas and William, two sisters and one brother.

One of nine children, he was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.

Graveside services will be at Fort Scott National Cemetery, 11 a.m., Thursday, March 10, 2011.
