Hazel Aurelia Hall, 90, of Fort Scott, died late Wednesday night, Jan. 26, 2011, in Kansas City, Mo., at the Research Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 14, 1920 in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Edward Harrison and Delia (Thiebaut) Branstetter.

She married Thomas S. Hall in September of 1939 and he preceded her in death Nov. 20, 1982.

Hazel was a life-long resident of Fort Scott and she worked as a cashier/clerk for KG&E for 18 years, retiring in June of 1988.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, and the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary, where she served as Treasurer for several years.

Survivors include her son, Thomas D. Hall of Fort Scott, Kan.; a sister, Ruth Standley of Billings, Mont.; a daughter-in-law, Karen Hall Keen of Kansas City, Kan.; three grandchildren, Mitchel D. Hall, Jeffrey A. Hall, and Chad M. Hall, and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Thomas, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gerald L. Hall; a sister, Mary Tucker, and a brother, Lawrence Branstetter.

Rev. Reed Hartford will conduct funeral services for Hazel 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2011 at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home with burial following at the Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011 at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church and left in the care of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall St., P.O. Box 309, Fort Scott, KS 66701.
