Frank Leon Moore, age 73, a resident of rural Fulton, Kan., died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, at his home.

He was born Jan. 31, 1937, at Hutchinson, Kansas, the son of Edgar Moore Sr. and Veretta Hopkins Moore.

Frank graduated from Fulton High School in 1956.

He married Donna Hall on Aug. 31, 1956, at Mapleton, Kan. She preceded him in death on June 6, 1997.

He later married Dorothy Ann Ham on June 23, 2000. She preceded him in death on June 1, 2008.

Frank had served with the Kansas Army National Guard.

He had worked for Smico-Norvell and also did carpentry work.

Later, he drove a school bus for the U-234 School District.

Frank was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite Consistory, the Mirza Shrine and the American Legion.

He greatly enjoyed dancing.

Survivors include a son, Lonnie Moore and wife, Stormy, Fort Scott; two daughters, Brenda Hathaway, and husband, David, Fulton; and Stephanie Moore-Ahrens, Sierra Vista, Ariz.; six grandsons, an adopted granddaughter, Angela Carpenter, five step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are his in-laws, Allen Hall, Leo Hall and Hope Rodabaugh, whom he considered as his own family.

In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by a son, David Leon Moore; a sister, Gloria June Moore and two half-brothers, Edgar Junior Moore and James Dale Moore.

Following cremation, Jay Lotterer will conduct a memorial service at 5:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Masonic Rites will be conducted by the Masonic Lodge.

Private burial will take place at a later date at the Barnesville Cemetery east of Fulton, Kan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Shrine Transportation Fund and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, P.O. Box 347, Fort Scott, Kan., 66701.
