Teddy Dean Taiclet, age 58, a resident of Plano, Texas, died Nov. 18, 2010, in Texas.
He was born March 13, 1952, in Fort Scott, Kan., the son of Alvin Taiclet and Elizabeth Cook Taiclet.
Teddy was raised in the West Liberty community. He attended West Liberty School until it closed, he then transferred to Fulton where he attended high school until it too closed after his junior year.
He then graduated from the Fort Scott High School.
Throughout school, he was best of friends with Jackie Grubb and Billy Beck.
After high school, Teddy worked as a computer programmer for the Western Insurance Company.
After leaving the Western, he moved to Plano, Texas, and continued to work in the computer industry.
Teddy enjoyed karate and had taught karate in Fort Scott.
Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Taiclet, of Fort Scott; and a brother, Gerald Taiclet, Girard, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Donna Guss.
Pastor Mark Lehman will conduct a memorial service at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at the Cheney Witt Chapel.
