Donald Eugene Fulk, age 72, a resident of Moran, Kan., died Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at the Allen County Hospital in Iola following a brief cancer illness.
He was born July 5, 1938, in Moran, the son of Donald T. Fulk and Lucretia Fisher Fulk.
Donald was retired from heavy construction in the pipeline and road construction business which took him from Canada south to the Gulf of Mexico.
He married Shirley L. Johnson. She preceded him in death in 1984 following 26 years of marriage.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Fulk and wife Jennifer, Redfield, Kan.; Donald Fulk and wife Misty, Girard, Kan.; and Ron Fulk of Phoenix, Ariz.
Also surviving is his friend and companion with whom he made his home, Bessie Mathews, Moran; five grandchildren, Steven, Lani, Samantha, Joe, and Sarah; and three great-grandchildren, Bryson, Noah and Jasper.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Elvis Ray Fulk.
There was cremation under the direction of Cheney Witt Bronson Chapel.
Private family services and burial will take place at a later date.
