Abundant Grace hosts annual Christmas open house

Abundant Grace Church opens its doors to the public for the annual Christmas Open House from 6:30 -- 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 14.

The church is located at 123 S. National in Fort Scott, formerly the historic St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.

"We invite everyone in our community to come enjoy the sights, smells and sounds of Christmas," Abundant Grace Pastor Steve Miles said.

Entertainment will be provided by Fort Scott High School music students. At 7 p.m., a performance by the FSHS brass ensemble directed by James Fox will begin and at 7:30 p.m., the string ensemble, directed by Cody Toll, will perform. The vocal ensemble, directed by Pat Harry, will perform at 8 p.m.

"At 8:30, we will finish the evening with Christmas hymns accompanied by the pipe organ," Miles said.

Holiday food and drinks are also offered.

Visitors are invited to bring canned goods and dry goods to be given to The Beacon.
