Shannon Lee Neth, age 45, a resident of Fort Scott, died unexpectedly Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at his home.

He was born April 24, 1965 in Fort Scott, the son of Wally Garfield Neth and Geraldine Larsen Neth.

Shannon was a 1984 graduate of Fort Scott High School and a graduate of Fort Scott Community College.

He attended the First Southern Baptist Church. Shannon was a member of the Elks Club.

He loved to play pool and enjoyed all school sporting events.

Survivors include his mother, Geraldine, of the home; three sisters, Tina Marie Preusker and husband Perry, Omaha, Neb., Brenda Sue Denyer and husband Jim, Blue Mound, Kan., and Beth Ann Neth, Nevada, Mo. Also surviving are three nephews, three nieces, one great-niece and three great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Wally Neth in March of 2009.

Rev. Jim Logan will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, at the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Hiattville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday at the Cheney Witt Chapel.
