Vineta Ruth Robb, 88, of Uniontown, Kan., died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at the Guest Home Estates in Fort Scott. She was born in Hiattville, Kan., Oct. 19, 1922, the daughter of Loran and Blanche Myrtle (Pettit) Potter. She married Russell Don Robb Nov. 6, 1942, in Fort Scott. He preceded her in death Jan. 28, 2009.
Vineta taught school for a few years before she married Russell. She worked with Russell in the dairy business for 13 years, and then worked for 16 years for the Western Insurance Company.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Jean Budd and husband, Albert, Richards, Mo., Dona Marie Spencer and husband, Harry, Fort Scott, Kan., and Karin Sue Morrison and husband, L.D., Redfield, Kan.; one sister, Nellie Hefton of Port Angeles, Wash.; 16 grandchildren, Albert Lee Budd and wife, Brenda, Russell Budd, David Budd and wife, Wendy, Amber Cain and husband, Steve, Holly Lefevre, Jess Spencer and wife, Maegan, Andrew Spencer, Clint Morrison and wife, LaDonna, and Jeffrey Morrison; nine great-grandchildren, Kendall Spencer, Anthony Budd and wife, Katie, Codee Budd, Coree Budd, Gus Cain, Clara Cain, Lance, Michael and Donavan; and one great-great-grandchild, Brice Budd. In addition to her husband Russell, Vineta was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; an infant brother, Charles; Kenneth, Amos, Albert and Wilmer Potter; and two sisters, Eva Stark, and Bessie Porter.
The Rev. Arthur Bowman will conduct funeral services for Vineta at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 23, at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home with burial following at the Bronson Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, Nov. 22, from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m., at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.
